Tips from the Diva

Need a little help while planning your trip, or figuring out what you should be planning before you go? You may find the following articles helpful.

Passport Control

To visit a foreign country, generally you need a passport. While there are countries you can visit as a US citizen without a passport, generally in the Caribbean or North America, getting a passport will make things much easier. (And the US government is pretty quickly making sure you'll need one to get back into the country no matter where you go when you leave.)

Money Matters

Regardless of what you've determined your vacation budget to be, there's no reason to spend more money than you have to. Everyone needs a few tips to make your dollar (or Yen, Euro, Pound, etc.) go its farthest, especially now that the U.S. dollar isn't worth what it used to be against most foreign currencies.

Going Your Way

One of the biggest questions you’ll need to answer for yourself before going on a trip is whether you want to take a package tour or travel independently. Of course, each option has its pros and cons.

Solo Travel

Generally, when it comes to traveling alone, you'll either love it or hate it. Sometimes, you'll do both at the same time.
